Terms & Conditions

Payment terms

Our third party booking system is powered by Newbook, they will securely handle all aspects of the booking process and then return you to our site. All bookings are pre-paid, our standard rate offers a free cancellation until 14 days prior to arrival, thereafter it is non refundable and the dates can no longer be changed. All other rates are non refundable once booked.

Terms and Conditions

The guest acknowledges notice that the property is one to which Section 12(2) and
Paragraph 8 of schedule 4 of the Housing (Scotland) Act 1988 applies whereby the guest has the right to occupy the flat for the purpose of his/her stay only and whereby there will be no security of tenure within the terms of the said Act.

The guest agrees to use this property solely for the purpose of a private residence for the maximum number of people shown on the booking correspondence and agrees not to:

  • use the property for any improper, illegal, or immoral purposes
  • to sub-let the property
  • cause nor allow any guests or visitors to cause) any nuisance, annoyance or disturbance to neighbours, or to QSA staff.
  • smoke or allow smoking in the property
  • keep pets in the property.
  • act in an aggressive manner towards Destiny Scotland staff or representatives
  • willfully damage property. If property has been accidentally damaged it must be reported to management before checkout and charges may apply.

Failure to comply with the requirements above will result in the agreement being terminated.
This Agreement will be governed by and construed in accordance with the Law of Scotland and the parties submit to the jurisdiction of the Scottish Courts.

Damages

Guests will provide a debit/credit card on booking.

The Guests in doing so give permission for the costs of any damages (as after defined) to be charged to their debit or credit card without prior recourse to them on the understanding that, as soon as is reasonably practicable, this will be notified to them by the Company.

The guest agrees to pay for any items damaged through neglect, misuse, or carelessness on the part of the guest or any visitors to the property.

When damage occurs, either by negligence or deliberate action of a guest, the guest agrees to indemnify the company against any associated losses, including lost income and the sourcing of alternative accommodation should that be required.

If a damages deposit has been paid prior to arrival, the deposit will be released without interest to the Guests within 7 days of their vacation of the property, under deduction of all reasonable costs for remedying any damage to the property or the contents thereof incurred by the Company on behalf of the owner as a result of the actions of the guests. This includes the reasonable cleaning costs in the event that the property is left in a dirty or very untidy condition.

Lost Property

Guests are advised that QSA ltd will not be responsible for any loss or damage to your goods or personal belongings kept at the accommodation.

Check in & Check out

The property will be available from 3pm on the start date unless a separate agreement is reached.
The property shall be vacated by 11:00am on the departure date unless a separate agreement is reached.
If the guest does not vacate the property by 11:00am on the departure date, the full rack rate may be charged to debit or credit card provided on the reservation although we will usually allow an extra 15 minutes grace time.

Smoking policy

Smoking is not permitted in any of our apartments. If any evidence of smoking is found in the premises a £150.00 fine will be charged to the debit or credit card provided.

Pets Policy

Pets are considered but not automatically allowed, please request this when booking and we will try our best to facilitate the request for you. Please note if guests do not have prior authorisation from us to bring a pet during their stay they may be refused entry and no refund would be provided. There will be a nightly charge of £10.00 per night for pets.

Vacating the premises

The property shall be left in a respectful manner, if it is not and excess cleaning is required then this will be billed to the debit/credit card on file. Guests must leave all keys and/or parking passes inside their property at the time of checkout by either locking the door and posting back through the letterbox or by simply leaving them on the living room table if the property has an automatic lock front door.

If for unforeseen circumstances a property becomes unavailable for a confirmed booking, then the guest must be informed as soon as possible. We will endeavour to offer a suitable alternative but if this alternative is unacceptable to the guest, the guest is then entitled to a full refund of monies paid to date. The landlord’s liability is limited to monies paid to date.

Accessibility

Our company operates in accordance with the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 and the Equality Act 2010 and, as such, we encourage all prospective guests to talk to us about any special accommodation requirements you may have.

Our properties have limited ground floor apartments but we do have lifts in all buildings to all floors.

We will be pleased to discuss our most appropriate accommodation solutions with the aim of making all guests’ stay as comfortable as possible.
